Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Midway ("we", "our", "the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the app. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access the app.
2. Description of Service
Midway is a web application that helps groups find a fair meeting location by calculating a central midpoint between multiple starting locations and suggesting nearby venues. The app may use third-party services for maps, venue data, weather, AI-based ranking, authentication, and payments.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Midway. By using the app, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
4. Accounts
- Signing in is optional and is handled through Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the app, its servers, or any related systems or networks
- Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the app or its infrastructure (including automated scraping, abusive request volumes, or denial-of-service attempts)
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where permitted by the app's open-source license
- Use the app to transmit malware, spam, or harmful content
- Misrepresent your identity or impersonate any person or entity
6. Subscriptions & Payments
- Midway offers an optional paid subscription ("Pro"). Pricing and features are described at the point of purchase.
- All payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not receive or store your card, UPI, or bank details.
- Subscriptions may renew automatically depending on the plan you select. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals but does not retroactively refund the current billing period unless required by law.
- We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice. Changes will not affect an active billing period already paid for.
7. Third-Party Services
Midway relies on third-party services (including Google Maps Platform, Supabase, AI providers, Open-Meteo, Vercel, and Razorpay). Your use of the app may also be subject to those providers' terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of third-party services.
8. Accuracy of Information
Midway provides meeting-point suggestions, venue information, directions, and weather data on an "as is" basis. This information may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. You are responsible for verifying details (such as venue hours, availability, and travel routes) before relying on them. Midway does not guarantee the suitability or safety of any suggested location.
9. Intellectual Property
The Midway name, logo, and branding are the property of the developer. The app's source code is made available under the license described in the project's public repository. Except as permitted by that license, you may not copy, modify, or distribute the app's content without permission.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Midway and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the app — even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the app at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may stop using the app at any time.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Hyderabad, India.
